Job Description:

Position Summary

The position plans, leads, and executes IT audits by:

  • Scoping and planning audits related to IT including technology infrastructure, business application systems, and IT processes.

  • Leading IT audits including preparing audit work plans, planning testing methods, reviewing the work of others and reporting audit findings and recommendations to management.

  • Providing consulting to management to improve IT processes and providing guidance regarding implementation of audit recommendations.

  • Coaching and developing the audit team, ensuring that the IT audits are performed in accordance with professional standards and best practices.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology

  • CISA certification preferred but not required

  • 5 or more years of progressive experience in IT management or IT audit

  • 3 or more years of experience in executing IT audits

Responsibilities and Essential Duties

  • Perform a variety of IT audits over applications, infrastructure, and IT processes.

  • Lead the identification and evaluation of the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls and the development of audit programs to effectively and efficiently test key controls identified.

  • Identify and evaluate risk, execute audit tests, determine areas for improvement in efficiency and effectiveness and work with management to develop action plans to ensure risks are effectively mitigated.

  • Oversee and perform moderate to complex IT audit testing ensuring organized & complete supporting documentation and work papers.

  • Identify and document issues arising from audit work and present findings to senior management.

  • Partner with management to develop suggestions and creative recommendations for improvements. Build and maintain strong relationships with IT personnel.

  • Assist in providing risk assessment and mitigation education to company associates.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of auditing and IT operations with a proven ability to apply broad business perspective and knowledge to achieve results.

  • Basic understanding of operational, financial, IT and regulatory risks and risk mitigation. Working knowledge of ITIL, COBIT, NIST and COSO frameworks and/or other leading IT security frameworks. Well established understanding of SOX compliance.

  • Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively across the organization. Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills; ability to multi-task and prioritize.

  • Ability to be flexible with work hours to meet deadlines as necessary.

  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Experience in Power BI preferred but not required.
